Certainly Right

by Nick Delonas

My life is a pointless, fickle pursuit:
judgments I can't hope to dispute
Why? Because you know
that Book says so and it's
Truth
One and only Truth
Pick a peck of Truth
from what must be the Truth

Or so you pray each day and say
Accept the ancient words or burn in hellfire
Much to your glee
    'cause you know I
    will not run my life
    by foolish old rules

No doubt
Knowing you are so sure
You must be certainly right

So I wonder what you're willing to do
should I never agree with you
Why? Because who knows
how far you'd go for the
Truth?
One and only Truth
Pick a peck of Truth
from what must be the Truth

Or so you pray each day and say
Accept the ancient words or burn in hellfire
Much to your glee
    'cause you know I
    will not run my life
    by foolish old rules

No doubt
Knowing you are so sure
You must be certainly right
