Anadyomene Challenges
By Nick Delonas
Venus rises from ocean mists on screen
Luminescent as a plasticine moon.
She speaks of (or scolds) all common Being
Which jolts a robot that rusted too soon
"Are you a siren?" I really should ask
Or Aphrodite (a more welcome sight)
Still, I should welcome such a daunting task
That might awaken what was lost to night
But why anything instead of nothing?
Do tell, oh, Goddess.
Two can play (or not)
