Some Say Murder in Boston

Rock

by Nick Delonas

Julie's got a raincoat
She wears it when the lights are low
–keeps it slow
Jackie is a juicy
Julie has her eye on him
–just a friend

Pamela for Jackie
Pelvic undulating cheer
–heart-burst fear
Jackie's left his friends home
a little bit before his time
booked with rhyme

You can't say what you would do if you were I
Who can judge? Who can show that's why
You can't say what you would do if you were I

Jackie is just fourteen
Pamela is younger still
–a mother filled
Take a train to New York
and found a doctor to employ
–suck the noise

They returned to Boston
He saw her less frequently
–mental ease
Talked a lot with Julie
Jealousy was on the phone
Pam's mom was at home

You can't say what you would do if you were I
Who can judge? Who can show that's why
You can't say what you would do if you were I

Julie in the classroom
Jack and her were in bed
–so she said
Jackie visits Julie
I really don't understand
–heard from Pam

Julie attacked Jackie
Her rage he tried to check
and broke her neck
Jackie goes to prison
It was half an accident
I repent!

You can't say what you would do if you were I
Who can judge? Who can show that's why
You can't say what you would do if you were I

Jackie was then let out
after long seven years
–hell fired tears
He might have had college
if he hadn't met those boys
–snuffed the joys

Memories will die hard
Vengeance shines a false crescent
–through open vent
